THE EXPERIENCE

Experience breathtaking views in a truly remote setting.

This private, guided, vessel-based sightseeing tour with all meals included is a great way to do something different. Alaska is a very large state with mostly no trail systems in place. The best way to explore and appreciate these National Parklands is by sea. One does not need to be worried about sea sickness on Prince William Sound, these are relatively calm waters.

During these trips expect to see booming glaciers and an abundance of marine and animal life including: whales, sea lions, seals, eagles, mountain goats, Black Bears and possibly the small percentage of Brown Bears that inhabit the area.

The mountains hold an endless number of salmon streams, where one can view the fish in their final right of passage. Nearly all mountain streams hold large amounts of gold waiting to be panned.

The short drive to Prince William Sound allows the visitor to see the wonders of inland Alaska as well without driving for many hours.

GETTING THERE

After your arrival in Anchorage, Alaska we recommend staying at the Puffin Inn of Anchorage. A great restaurant within walking distance is the Fancy Moose Lounge.

The day of your trip, be in lobby with your party and all gear at 7:15 a.m. Your guide will pick you up and transport you one hour south via truck. The Port of Whittier is our first destination.

Once there we load our gear onto the custom built 28' heavy weather aluminum boat with twin 150 Honda 4 strokes engines, accompanied with a 10' Zodiac.. Make sure you have all cameras and video equipment ready.

The boat ride is nearly two and a half hours. There are many sights along the way to stop and photograph.

The trip is three nights lodging, four days of sightseeing. The last day of the the trip we load all gear and head back to Whittier. We recommend staying in Anchorage one night on return of trip.
