Hunt the coastal Waters of Prince William sound during mid May and June just as the Bears emerge from their dens. The Bears have been hibernating in their dens up to six months. Therefore, the hides are some of the most dense and Prime in the world.
Prince William sound has the highest black bear densities in our beautiful state. It is not uncommon to see multiple Bears per day, giving Hunters a lot of opportunities to view beautiful Coastal black bear. Spring black bear hunts open again September 1st through October 20th.
Average spring black bear is 6 square feet.
Our hunts are based out of Whittier, Alaska. After your arrival into Anchorage, you will be transported to the port of Whittier. Once in Whittier, you will board a 28-foot, Abby weather aluminum boat with twin 150 Honda 4-stroke engines, accompanied with a 10-foot zodiac. As the Waters of Prince William Sound are naturally protected from heavy swells from large islands, we will anchor in sheltered coves. Lodging will be conducted at a remote Lodge or in Alaska-made foul weather tents with cots. All meals consist of fresh caught wild Alaskan Game and Fish. This customized five night/6 day hunt is limited to four people.
